Back pain is one of the burning issues today. As most of us are involved into desk job which includes sitting in the same posture for hours and hours, our back becomes stiff eventually. As many of us are not prone to physical hard work, excessive exercises or physical workload results into back pain (due to muscular stiffness mostly). To address back pain and to cure it permanently, we need to transform our diet & lifestyle and indulge into some Yoga and Ayurveda medicines.
- Diet: One should eat adequate proteins and minerals. Protein provides strength to our muscles. One should also have adequate calcium. Excessive weight is not preferable in back pain related issues. So, one should try to avoid extra fats and carbs.
As per Ayurveda one should avoid sour and fermented food articles. Eat easy to digest and fresh food.
Lifestyle: Eat and sleep on time. Sitting in the same posture for a longer time can create problems. Do regular workouts and exercises under a trained physio. Avoid excessive cold climate
- Yoga: Yoga vitalizes our body mind and spirit. Pranayamas are very helpful in pain-related conditions. Anuloma viloma pranayama and meditation is best. Asanas specially related to back stretching can be performed under the guidance of a yoga expert.
- Ayurveda medicines: there are some wonderful Ayurveda herbs which relieve back pain. Herbs like Shallaki, Guggulu, Ashwagandha, Nirgundi etc. have been proven effective for pain management.
